I sat across my mother, Ann beside me.
"So, tell me. Why don't you want to go to school?" She asked.
I shrugged. I knew why, and I wanted to tell her so bad, but all I could do was shrug.
"Is there someone bullying you in school?"
I shook my head and laughed, "I'm a senior at school now!"
"Someone younger than you is bullying you?" She asked, looking quite serious. I was embarassed.
"No. I don't know why." I couldn't speak properly. My voice came out sounding funny; insecure.
"You've only got a few months of school left..."
I nodded.
"After this, you don't need to study anymore. You don't even have to go to a polytechnic or junior college, I don't mind. Just do what you like, okay?"
I nodded again. I felt my eyes watering. I hugged her, and she hugged me back.
"Who's the most beautiful?" She asked, looking at Ann and I. I pointed at Mom, and Ann pointed at herself.
We laughed, and Mom took the two of us into her arms and hugged us both tightly.
