Friday was amazing.

In the evening, I stopped by your place and you played me songs on the guitar. You learned how to play Comfortable, my all-time favourite John Mayer song, and I could have fallen in love then. We surprised Marilyn at her workplace, then I met up with Joshua and Kim. It surprised me, but pleased me too, that you were able to laugh at the funny stuff Joshua said. I was hyper from laughter and the knowledge that we were going clubbing, and you were willing to join us.

We went to Thumper, where Ken and Zhewei joined us after. What an easy way for singers of bands to flatter a girl and make her day; sing a song and say it's for her, even if it's just a way to work the crowd. "This is for you, baby doll," the singer of the band said into the microphone, and pointed at me. I laughed, embarrassed, and blew him an airkiss. He sang this song, one of those club staples, that goes something along the lines of "would you be my girl?". And you mouthed the lyrics to me at certain points of the songs, the way the singer pointed at me and winked.

We left at about 3am, when Ken and Zhewei got bored. We took a long drive, and sat outside my place watching the clouds part and meet and shape. Our 5 minutes turned half an hour.

Friday ended at 5am, on the last day of the year. I listened to CD1 that you compiled for me until I fell asleep.

Friday was almost romantic.
