Rendezvous

Highlights of my weekend:
- Reaching home at 3am on both Friday and Saturday, only to talk to Raymond on the phone till 6am.
- At Coffee Bean with Min and Rose, and a slice of Carrot Cake.
- Rose and I sitting on some lonesome bench, talking and laughing for an hour and a half straight.
- My ultra-sweetened Iced Yuan Yang from TCC, which I absolutely, absolutely love.
- While waiting in the car for Raymond, Jermaine suddenly got into the driver's seat and took me for a short drive.
- Driving up to Mt. Faber for some drinks at the Cafe there. I don't like alcohol much, so I ordered Shirley Temple, which tastes awfully like cough medicine (and I should know).
- I fell on my knees on Friday. It looks slightly bruised now. But the good thing is, everyone was concerned and nice, even Jack's girlfriend (despite the fact that it was only the first time meeting her).
- Falling asleep in the backseat of Raymond's car, because Jack lost the way and drove us all the way to Tampines? Long, long ride. (We were at Woodlands, after dropping Jack's girlfriend home)
- Heidi and I, on my bed talking and laughing. She's such a laugh. Told her about Sern quarreling with his girlfriend, because he wanted to be out with us on Friday, when they actually already spent the entire week together. She said in the most deadpan manner, "See. That's why Friday happens."
- I shared a plate of Hokkien noodles with Marilyn at 2am on Saturday.
- I vomited after supper on Saturday night. It all happened so quickly; first the nausea than the inability to keep it down. Then they got me a bottle of mineral water to rinse my mouth.
- Quarreling with Sern on both days, with Raymond reminding fondly how it's been this way since about 5 years ago. (So I guess things don't change much)
- Marilyn telling me how lucky I am to have friends like this.
I think I'm reminded again how I shouldn't coop myself up at home playing nonsensical computer games all weekend while drinking terribly sweet Iced Tea that lefts a mildly sour aftertaste in my mouth.
