I think I'm just lashing out. I've had this kind of unwanted attention twice this week alone, and I'm getting incredibly upset. It's demoralising me and making me insecure, and I don't want to feel that way.
So I told the management, and they came back to me with a fucking PR answer.
Some of the things that the cleverly crafted letter included:
- Calling the act of sexual harassment "a lack of service orientation"
- That the offenders were merely being "careless in the way they presented themselves"
- One of the ways they decided to tackle the matter was to "brief" their staff and "re-emphasis the importance of being sensitive and aware of their actions and surroundings at all times."
You don't understand how angry I am right now. This is sexual harassment we're talking about, or at the very least, nuisance or trespass, as b. has put it. And they are dismissing it as a lack of service orientation? Can you believe it?
