Rendezvous

2010 is was kind of a non-event.
Everything that mattered in the year only mattered because it cumulated from past years' mistakes or doings or hopes and wishes. I wish I had more poetic things to say about a year should have been more significant, only, it ended up being mostly transitional in nature. The tumultuous times I've had in previous years, 2010 artfully evaded. You don't get the trough, you don't get the crest either.
But beyond my insignificant self, I'm thankful that 2010 left my family safe and happy and healthy. And that's all it matters. It was a tough year for my loveoflife and some of the people he loves, but they got out of it and it can only go upward from here. Cheers to growing up, finding happiness and learning to love in return. It's a good time to be alive.
