"Stop pushing the blame to someone else!" I said to my father. Wilson, who didn't see it coming, tried to down play it by saying it in a joking manner, "Look, now even Vicki's reprimanding you."
Dad got all defensive and asserted, "I'm not blaming anyone! Don't you see--"
"You always say when we do something, we take full responsibility for our actions, but..."
And I was choking on my tears. I ran up to my bedroom. No one mentioned anything about it when we went out for dinner that night. It was as though we never had that conversation at all.
