In the car home, Joe asked so what have you been doing besides skipping school. I laughed and said, well... nothing. He'd offered me a lift home and I said to him, really, I wouldn't take it if I hadn't all these blisters and cuts at my achilles. He laughed and said, alright I'll accept your lame excuse. I said, then you just saved me the trouble of making up another one.
Febbie asked if I was still talking to Dani. Said that she could tell he loved me a lot. I laughed and asked, what about Helme. She thought about it and said, I don't see him a lot, but probably, not as much as Dani. He doesn't look at you as often. I laughed and said maybe.
Then the biggest coincidence of all: a message.
