Rendezvous

I thought it was so ironic.
I had just cried and my cheeks were still damp with tears that I tried to hide by bending my head low and pressing my fingers upon my eyes, and barely minutes later, a boy behind the counter of the shop I was at said to me,
"You have a lovely smile."
I thought I could see how long I was able to manage not crying. It was a record; months counting. How did that break?
You remind me of a time when everything was perfect
